Here’s another neat looking Polygala species, Drumheads (Polygala cruciata)! Can you see those tiny, tubular shapes? The ones in the middle of those petal-like showy, deep pink bracts? Those are the actual flowers! Keep an eye out for these blooms when exploring open, moist-soil habitats. They grow near the ground and are often surrounded or obscured by other plants.
